買家應如何分類捲菸紙的類型?

7 分鐘閱讀

I’ve opened RFQs that said “natural king hemp organic” as if that were one spec, then spent a week untangling four different decisions.

Classify rolling papers on four axes—fiber family, process (bleached or unbleached), format (booklet, roll, or cone), and add-ons (gum, print, flavor)—and write each axis on its own line; mixing them into one marketing adjective is how a quote comes back as the wrong product.

Read this and you’ll have a filing system for the next RFQ, not another size chart.

The size-chart article is at https://ace-rolling.com/what-are-the-standard-rolling-papers/. Rice versus hemp versus wood pulp as a material choose is at https://ace-rolling.com/whats-the-difference-between-rice-hemp-and-wood-pulp/. This page is the taxonomy.

What Goes on the Fiber-Family Line?

I start with fiber because “natural” is not a fiber.

Write hemp, flax, wood pulp, rice, bamboo, or a named blend—those are fiber families; “natural” and “organic” are process or claim words and do not belong on this line unless you also name the fiber underneath them.

Sheet close-up—name the fiber first; natural is not a fiber family

I reject RFQs that only say natural. Unbleached wood pulp and hemp can both look brown in a photo and behave differently on a gumming station. Ace can discuss hemp, flax, bamboo, wood pulp, and custom color routes. FSC-certified sourcing is an option, not a default on every lot. If you need the claim, say so on a fifth line called documentation, not on the fiber line.

What Goes on the Process Line?

This is where bleach and “clean” language cause the most rework.

Write bleached or unbleached, and whether you need a composition note for additives; do not put “RAW-like” or “clean” here—those are feelings, and I will translate them into GSM and process only after you say what you actually felt.

Color rows—bleach is a process line, not a brand-name feeling

I already wrote how I translate RAW Black versus Classic into a spec at https://ace-rolling.com/whats-the-real-difference-between-raw-black-and-classic/. Use that when a buyer only has a benchmark brand. Use this page when they have no benchmark and are still mixing words. Opaque versus transparent is another process/optical choose, already covered separately, and it does not replace bleach.

Axis Write this Do not write this
纖維 Hemp / flax / wood pulp / rice “Natural” alone
流程 Bleached / unbleached + GSM “Clean” / “RAW-like”
格式 Booklet / roll / cone + size “Papers” with no format
Add-on Gum, print, flavor, tip Dessert names without a note

What Goes on the Format Line?

I force format because “types of papers” in search often means booklet, but buyers also mean cones.

Write booklet, roll, or empty cone, then the size; a hemp booklet and a hemp cone share a fiber and still need different converting, packing, and quotes.

Booklet and cones—same fiber, two formats, two quotes

Ace booklets quote about USD $0.07–$0.30 wholesale with MOQ. Empty cones quote about USD $0.04–$0.06. If the RFQ does not pick a format, I will not average those numbers. Size details stay on https://ace-rolling.com/custom-rolling-papers/ and https://ace-rolling.com/pre-rolled-cones/. This taxonomy only needs you to stop saying “papers” when you mean cones.

What Goes on the Add-On Line?

This is the junk drawer I want to make intentional.

Write gum type if it matters, print or unprinted, flavored or unflavored, and tip if the format is a cone; each add-on is a yes/no that changes artwork, compliance, and MOQ.

Printed sheet—print is an add-on line, not a fiber

Flavor is a claim problem, not a type of paper. I covered taste language at https://ace-rolling.com/do-flavored-rolling-papers-actually-change-the-taste/. Gum-strip process is a manufacturing deep dive elsewhere. On this page I only need the add-on named so it does not hide inside “premium.”

How Do I File “Organic,” “Biodegradable,” and “Unrefined”?

Buyers drop these on the fiber line and then get angry at the quote.

File them under documentation or process, never as a substitute for fiber; organic and compostable need named certificates, unrefined needs a written meaning, and I will not let those words replace hemp or wood pulp on the first line.

QC—certificate words live on the documentation line, not on the fiber line

Compostable versus biodegradable is already split at https://ace-rolling.com/biodegradable-or-compostable-whats-the-real-difference/. Unrefined sourcing is at https://ace-rolling.com/how-do-you-source-unrefined-papers-from-a-china-factory/. Use those when the claim is the project. Use this taxonomy so the claim does not erase the fiber.

How Should This Taxonomy Show Up in an Ace RFQ?

I want four short lines, then quantity.

Fiber / process / format+size / add-ons, then destination and units; that is enough for me to quote without a clarification week, and it is the same structure I use internally when a new buyer mixes adjectives.

Quality context sits at https://ace-rolling.com/quality-certifications/. I can work from a messy email. I would rather you send the four lines.

常見問題

How should buyers classify types of rolling papers?

How should buyers classify types of rolling papers? Use four axes: fiber family, process, format plus size, and add-ons. Write each on its own line. Mixing “natural king hemp organic” into one phrase is how the quote comes back as a different product than the one you pictured.

Is “natural” a type of rolling paper?

No. Natural is usually a look or an unbleached process word. The type on the fiber line is hemp, flax, wood pulp, rice, bamboo, or a named blend. If you only write natural, I still do not know which fiber to gum, print, or convert.

Are booklets and cones the same type if both are hemp?

No. They share a fiber and split on format. Different converting, packing, and price bands apply. Ace booklets quote about USD $0.07–$0.30 wholesale with MOQ; empty cones quote about USD $0.04–$0.06. Say the format before you ask for “the hemp price.”

Where do organic or biodegradable claims belong in this classification?

On a documentation or process line, never as a replacement for fiber. Those words need named certificates or a written definition. They do not tell a factory whether to run hemp or wood pulp, and they should not hide the first-line spec.

Can I classify a paper as “RAW-like” instead of naming process?

Not on the RFQ. That is a feeling, not a converting spec. Translate it into bleached or unbleached, a GSM range, and a fiber. I can sample toward a benchmark, but I cannot convert a brand name into a bobbin without those three.

Does Ace Rolling need all four axes before quoting?

I can guess and then waste a week. I would rather you send fiber, process, format plus size, and add-ons, then destination and units. That is the same structure I use when I untangle a messy first email into a real OEM brief.

Paste the adjectives you have, and I’ll sort them onto the axes before we quote.
