Why Thicker Can Burn Faster
I’ve had buyers ask for “thick so it lasts.” Futurola’s claim is the opposite direction. More paper mass can feed a hotter burn. I will not turn their 30–50% into Ace lab data. I will also not write “thick equals slow.”
In my experience the line cares about tear and machine feed more than a session clock.
I’ll ask if they meant slow burn or a stiff leaf. Those are different RFQs.
Booklet Feel Versus Cone Machine
A 12–14 GSM rice or hemp booklet can feel “smooth” in the hand. A fill tray may want a sheet that does not collapse under bounce. What paper thickness gives a smooth roll for a 109 mm empty is not automatically 12 GSM.
